ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Arthur, a Computer Science graduate from Brazil, with a passion for computer graphics research, games, and everything that revolves around art.

During my undergradute studies, I fell in love with computer graphics in my first introductory class to the subject. Hence, I took every course in uni that was related to CG: from advanced graphics and game development classes to computational photography and computer vision. I also became very interested in graphics research and the state-of-the-art presented at SIGGRAPH and other conferences.

I always appreciated art in its different mediums - painting, sculpture, cinema, photography and music. However, it was only in the last few years when I was able to put this appreciation in practice, and produce art of my own. Recently, I've taken traditional drawing and sculpting lessons, learning about proportions, anatomy, values, composition, etc.

I published a paper on SIGGRAPH ASIA 2022 - "A Biologically Inspired Hair Aging Model" - in collaboration with Prof. Marcelo Walter. I had the pleasure of preseting our work in person in Daegu, South Korea, at the end of last year. Our article focused on developing a real-time, efficient, general solution for hair aging based on recent biological research. The idea of solving a problem through multidisciplinary research is something that really inspires me, as I've always been fascinated by physics, biology and other natural sciences.
